St Clere's School

About the School

St Clere's Secondary School was established in 1978 and became a Co-operative Academy in 2009.  In 2011, we formed the St Clere's Co-operative Academy Trust which is now a multi-Academy trust and includes East Tilbury Infant and Junior Schools as well as Thameside Primary School. Due to our excellent Science facilities and results, we were awarded Specialist Science College status in 2010. This year, we will also be designating as Sports College as, again, our standards of sport and sports facilities are of a superior standard.

We have over 1,000 students here, who are busy finding out that learning can be enjoyable and something that will bring them greater opportunities in life. Our staff teach with great energy and intelligence in an environment that has exceptional facilities. In addition to our well-qualified teaching staff, we have an impressive team of support staff which includes learning mentors. We are set on the edge of Stanford le Hope, a short distance from the A13. We are surrounded by large expanse of playing fields which enable us to enjoy a vast array of sports. We have a stunning range of facilities including a state of the art Drama studio, a brand new Apple Mac suite, fully refurbished Science labs, sports pavilion, 3G all-weather floodlit pitch, exceptionally well stocked library with research and quiet study space. In addition, we have high specification classrooms with up-to-date ICT resources which enhance the teaching for all students and provide a comfortable environment in which to learn. We have a reputation for very high academic standards and outstanding pupil conduct. St Clere\'s pupils consistently achieve results above national standards. We encourage all our pupils to strive for success. Our teachers promote creativity and individuality, enabling it to shine through. Our website will give you an idea of the variety of experiences we offer our students and the vibrant atmosphere that is created here as learning and discovery takes place. There is also information about events - including Open Days - and admissions.
